Petter Hegre has a new website! For those who have been living under a rock these last few years, Petter Hegre is one of the brightest rising stars in the realm of art photography. Perhaps, not since David Hamilton hit the scene in the seventies, has the art world been so smitten. His images are so profound in their composition and print quality; his subjects so perfect, so pure, and so unbelievably beautiful, they prance about as emblems of youthful perfection. Right now, Hegre has got it .. and everyone wants it.
Petter leaped into the international spotlight several years ago with the publication of My Wife, and just released his second sure-to-be-a-smashing-success book which focuses on Russian model Katya. But his web archive is something else entirely. Here, one will not only find unpublished image outtakes from both of his books (which all by itself makes the site a worthy journey) but numerous breathtaking series' of other, equally beautiful girls. Unbelievably beautiful girls. It's an online library created with the immaculate precision that only Petter Hegre can attain.
A recent graduate in Fine Arts from Columbus State University (Georgia), Dewayne Flowers is now intent on earning his Master's Degree in Photography. Dewayne started shooting nudes when he was still in high school. He started as such a young age, he says, because he grew bored from using donated mannequins in figure drawing at school. It was also a little rebellion against his bible-belt surroundings.
The human form is the ultimate canvas, Dewayne maintains. And bodypainting plays a major role in his work. He plans to shoot commercially in the future and has plans for publishing a book of his photographs.
